Daniel Lutz

Born in 1983 and raised in Dortmund, my life has been more like a “zig-zag”: secondary school, then a move to a town called Wuppertal to do an IT apprenticeship (because I was terribly bored with school), but then back to school to take the second route to my A-levels so I could qualify for university. 

2007 Work & Travel in Australia, then the next move to my adopted home Hamburg in northern Germany. Here I  studied Media Management, followed by one, two, three jobs. None of them which made me happy. The inevitable big disillusionment: “Actually, I have everything that is supposed to make me happy, but I still hate Mondays.” 

That couldn’t be life. 

Together with a coach, I worked on my inner blocks and old, negative beliefs. I came to terms with my values and understood that the conventional definition of success is different from mine. And I understood that significantly more is possible than I could have imagined. 

Since 2019, I now have a job where I can combine and use my personality, strengths and values and even look forward to Mondays. I work part-time as a permanent Agile Coach at Vattenfall and part-time as a systemic coach, team coach and organizational developer for individuals and companies. In this way, I can accompany an organization in long-term change processes, and thanks to my work with various other organizations and personalities, continuously expand my wealth of experience. 

My common thread? Working with people in change processes, driven by digital transformation. 

I am inspired by people and organizations that break new ground and have the courage to question the familiar, as well as take responsibility for their actions – whether in their private or professional lives. Because I know what a positive impact even the smallest decision can have.
